Most of all, Thanksgiving reminds me of my deep appreciation of the love from and to family loved ones and dear friends. I pray that everyone everywhere may be so blessed as I have been.
I hope you enjoy and can make use of the Thanksgiving memories and recipes in my offerings below.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I was reading your post and noticed you mentioned green bean casserole. We have had that for so many years that I am really getting sisk of it!

This DOES bring back memories !! I recall getting up at 5 a.m. to get the turkey ready for the oven. Best of all are memories of the big family together- grandparents, and all the rest, including 3 or 4 generations. The house was alive with people of all ages.

Thank you all for your kind comments! I've been slow getting responses up, because --of all things-- I dared to eat dinner out the other day and got a bodacious case of 'food poisoning'! It knocked me for a loop, and I'm still kittenish today. That'll larn me. No matter how humble the meal--cook at HOME! 8-)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I miss the days of four generations catching up on each other and anticipating a meal made with love. I can smell the turkey already....

Thanks, Sammy and EVERYONE. Busy, busy getting ready. Going to work on the marinated WHOLE artichokes soon. Leaving the pies for early tomorrow a.m. Since the turkey is being done at my daughter's I'll have my oven for pies and various. Have decided on 2 pumpkin, 2 pecan and since I have some 'ready' bananas--a chocolate banana cream. Diet be danged! 8-)

Thanks for dropping by everyone! My holiday was quite nice. As hubby & I were saying, yesterday, it is always the PEOPLE who made and make our special days. We no longer have big families, but we still hold close to those who we do have and life is sweet.
Now we'll be getting on to the days of Christmas, old and new as "I Smell A Memory" moves into December. Hope to see you all here, sharing in the memories. 8-)
